lyrics
My head is getting crowded
I feel like I'm being surrounded
My life was lost when you found it
Caught between the Earth and stars
I can’t capture who you are
Oh and I wonder where you are
The way your fingers move across your phone
How your memory lingers after you're gone
Or when you asked me how’d you write a song?
Oh the chemicals, and the girls
Whatever you do you do it well, and never change
If you're feeling strange, will you want me?
Do you need me? Can you see what I see?
While we're making memories
Won't you save your best for me
Will you dance and slowly undress for me
You are one of the very few who impress me
Bright lights are blinding our way
You lead me to places I cannot stay
Hey little lady take me away
You relax and ask "are you having a nice time?"
And I sigh and reply "the pleasure has all been mine"
Today and for all time
Getting high and wild on your supply
Messing my mind, twinkling eyes that hypnotise
You can tranquilize the bad in me
If you need me, if I see what you see
Oh while we're making memories
Sha la la la la la la hey la
There aint nothing stranger
In all of beautiful nature
Than the sting of female danger
But we don’t talk about love
We just want to have a good time
Oh will you dance with me one time
The moonlight glimmers into the velvet morn
You wake with a smile painted by the dawn
Glowing on and on….
Close the door, cross the line, never to return
Don’t look back on what we might find
Bodies entwined, having words with god
Maybe he sees what only we see
Oh while were making memories
Sha la la la la la la hey la

Remember how Bill Murray woke up to I Got You Babe every day in Groundhog Day? If that song would have been Made Of Moods, he at the very least experienced three and a half perfect minutes each day. It’s one of those songs that I enjoy each and every second of, with it’s jangly guitars and hushed vocals that almost have a Beach Boys vibe, especially in the verse. Truly, it’s a song for the ages. But the best news about Still Life is that it offers eleven additional underground pop gems. Niek || Add To Wantlist

The indie pop on Songs From Another Life sounds confident yet delicate, and the strummy and jangly guitars makes me long for spring. Some songs sound like straight up Teenage Fanclub worship, but in a good way. Fans of The Byrds and Big Star will probably dig this as well. Niek || Add To Wantlist
Tamar Berk pairs trenchant autobiographical lyrics with brittle guitars for songs that will win over fans of early Liz Phair. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2022
The first full-length from fêted Indonesian indie pop band Grrrl Gang is a sparkly pop-punk confection tempered with biting dry humor. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 20, 2023
